What is it called?

Written by:

What is it called when you think about someone constantly?

When they are the first person you think about when you wake up, and the last person you think about before you go to sleep.

When you are overjoyed when they show up in your dreams.

When you can only see the very best in them, and you are more than willing to forget the flaws.

When every thought of them makes you smile.

When you catch yourself staring at their pictures while grinning from ear to ear.

When you listen to voicemails or watch videos over and over, just to hear the sound of their voice.

When they are all you think about…all you talk about.

When you want absolutely everyone to know and admire them too.

When you swear every song you hear is somehow about them.

When the feelings you have for them are so overwhelming, you almost can’t believe this is really your life.

When you know deep down you will feel this way forever.

Some call it love. I call it grief.

Turns out, they are the same thing, just on different timelines.

One has the future while the other has the past. One has possibility while the other has pain.

So…what is it called?

Well…it depends on your timeline.

My heart aches for you as a mother.

December 1 2022 our 13 year old granddaughter jumped from an arena roof in -30. She laid unconscious for about half hour. When she came to she still had her phone and called 911. After seven months in hospital and 12 plus surgeries she was sent home.

She has not contacted us since then. She had been corresponding via social media with someone in California. She believed he was a teen too. Having worked in law enforcement both my husband and I believe she was lured by an adult. There is so much more to this story.

Is she ok? Physically best she could be. Emotionally not even close. Is she getting the help she needs no.

I feel so badly for you and I am praying for your law to be passed.

Oh I’m so heartbroken to hear her story. I am hoping this law or similar laws will sweep across the nation in time and create consequences that may discourage the type of mind games that lead our vulnerable children to these actions. Thank you for connecting with me. Our hearts are bonded in pain.
